
Several major companies announced changes to their financial leadership this week. John Vandemore will take over as chief financial officer of Levi Strauss & Co. on November 1. He joins from Skechers, where he served as CFO for nine years. Before Skechers, Vandemore held key roles at Mattel as EVP and CFO of global brands and commercial sales, and earlier as CFO and treasurer of International Game Technology. He also held leadership positions at The Walt Disney Company, including CFO of Walt Disney Imagineering.
Vandemore succeeds Harmit Singh, who is retiring but will remain as a special adviser until November 30.
Tech and Customer Service Firms See CFO Changes
Zendesk appointed Rachita Sundar as its new finance chief. Sundar moves from Qualtrics, where she was CFO, overseeing financial operations for the survey software company. She previously held senior finance roles at HubSpot, including senior vice president of finance, and at Microsoft US as senior finance director.
Sundar replaces Julie Swinney, who became CFO in 2023 after an interim stint. Swinney will transition to chief administrative officer and oversee Zendesk’s employee service business, a growing area of focus for the company.
At Circle Internet Group, Jeremy Fox-Geen is stepping down as CFO. He will stay until the end of the year or until a successor is found. Fox-Geen played a key role in Circle’s $1.2 billion IPO in June 2025, leveraging his prior experience as CFO at Safehold, iStar, and McKinsey & Company.
Separately, Circle co-founder P. Sean Neville resigned from the board for personal reasons. This reduces the board from eight to seven members.
Retail and Automotive Sectors Also Affected
Vestis, a uniforms and workplace supplies company, named Russell Tiejema as CFO. Tiejema was most recently CFO of US LBM, a specialty building materials firm, and previously spent nearly nine years as CFO of Masonite International. He began his career at General Motors, holding several financial leadership roles.
He succeeds Adam Bowen, who served as interim CFO since December 16, 2025. Bowen will remain with the company until the end of October to ensure a smooth transition.
Cars.com appointed Trent Ziegler as its next CFO. Ziegler will become CFO-designate on October 19 and officially take the role on November 6. He joins from FairSquare, where he has been CFO since August 2024. Prior to that, Ziegler spent over 11 years at LendingTree, most recently as CFO.
Ziegler succeeds Sonia Jain, who held the position since October 2022. Jain previously served as CFO from July 2020 to April 2022 and later worked at Convoy, bringing a wealth of experience in fintech and digital marketplaces.
Grocery and Bridal Retailers Announce New CFOs
Albertsons Companies named Cody Perdue as interim CFO while searching for a permanent replacement. Perdue will continue as senior vice president of treasury, investor relations, and risk management. Before joining Albertsons in 2013, he worked at Deloitte and Touche.
Albertsons recently expanded its board from 11 to 14 members.
David’s Bridal hired Kathy Cherian as CFO. Cherian joins from Magnolia, where she served as CFO since 2024. She previously spent over 12 years at Nike in senior finance roles, including CFO of Nike Canada.
Cherian succeeds Rob Cooper, who left in March after 20 years with the company. Cooper became CFO in September 2023.
Mining and Defense Companies Make Leadership Moves
Gunnison Copper appointed Jennifer Hays as CFO, effective October 12. Hays joins from PacSci EMC, where she has been CFO since June 2022. She previously spent 16 years at Intel, including as CFO of Intel Federal LLC, a subsidiary managing U.S. federal government partnerships.
